Trish, I did It!!!

FINALLY! Thanks to Tricia, I finally am able to have the youtube picture show up in my blog! It's the little things that make me happy. Well, hope everyone had fun tonight, getting candy, dressing up, etc! We had a nice time -- pictures to come.

For now, though...you have to listen to/watch this -- it's unbelievable. A friend sent this to me and I still can't believe it. The woman in this video says the following:

"I won't have to worry about putting gas in my car; I won't have to worry about paying my mortgage! If I help him, he's going to help me!"

W-O-W!

I am a Georgia Voter!

And I have the sticker to prove it!!! I really wanted to wait until election day to vote, I love the excitement of election day, but, I heard on the radio the other day that there could be waits of up to 6 hours! YIKES! The kids are off school on Tuesday and I have been thinking about what to do with them while voting...for 6 hours...so I decided to take advantage of the early voting here and I went to the library today and DID IT! It was exciting even if it wasn't election day. Oh, and the excitement helped me deal with my sadness that another baseball season has come to an end.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KENNY!

It's my husband's birthday...I don't really care but I needed something to post on my blog. He is short, balding, fat, and dim witted. I bought him this book because it has a lot of pictures; I also included crayons for him to color with. He likes presents like this; it keeps him busy for hours. He is now 44 years old...getting closer to death everyday...but not quick enough for me...

2560 Young Avenue, Bronx, NY

When we were waiting to head out to LaGuardia a couple of weeks ago, we drove by our old "basement apartment" in the Bronx. Funny, but it looked different. There looked like a lot less trees on our street and yes, the house looked smaller. The house next door looked the same -- I would love to know if the same family lives there -- the ones who slashed our tires when we parked in "THEIR SPACE" one time.

Down the right-hand side of the house was the entrance to our basement apartment. The apartment originally belonged to Kenny and his brother Richie. It looked all overgrown this time, like it would be tough to get down there without taking your head off. I will never forget the 1st time my parents came for a visit. The door to the apartment had 2 keys; one to lock from the outside and one to lock the door when you were on the inside. We didn't have the key that could lock the door when we were inside. The first morning after my parents stayed with us, my dad headed out and found a deadbolt that he quickly installed so we could lock the door from the inside LOL!

Here is the next door neighbor's house. People told us not to park in "THEIR SPACE"; the public street space that was in front of their house...they were right :(

I Have About Had It!

I am not a real fan of Bill O'Reilly, but thanks to him for calling CNN on this OUTRAGE!

FEET!

Why, one may ask? I found these pictures on my camera card, so hey, thought I would share them. (Are these cute feet or what?) I'm not sure why pictures of Cam's feet are on my camera card, but they are....so....

So Much More!

Cam & Tommy in their new tree house :)

On Sunday night before leaving NY, we all went out to dinner at Tiramisu -- you'll see we had a fun time, the kids got a little crazy on us near the end. We also celebrated Gena's birthday which was on Monday.

Trisha before seeing the bill...

Trisha as she is looking at the bill -- yikes!

Kenny after seeing the bill...

The kids get along so well -- they are such good kids --
On Monday before our plane left, we went to visit our friends in Yonkers. The baby is now 2 years old and this is my first visit to see him! He's not a baby anymore, which you can see. He is a sweetie! So is his mom.... :)

Our friend Ruth came from STL for a visit last night. We've kept busy already, I am sure that is not really surprising! Cam had a double header today...

Thanks for letting me share with you! There is still so much more!!!

Happy 50th!

Editorial comments to come (UPDATE -- here they are!). I will say one thing now, however... At the party, I discovered at least 2 blog-watchers that I didn't even know were out there -- I am including your pictures and expect to see a comment or two from you...you know who you are! LOL...more to come. I have so many pictures I would like to share...we'll see...but, I will explain the pix, hopefully tomorrow.

Gena, Trisha and I went to Michaels Saturday morning to pick up some stuff for centerpieces, decorations, etc. We had fun being out together. I will say that Gena livened it up a bit as we were leaving the store by fainting on us, but she was a real trooper, she got up and recovered nicely!

Kenny getting ready for the festivities --

Kenny with his cousin and wife -- we were waiting for the big entrance...Hope to see you guys and the kids in ATL sometime soon.

Kenny's sister Chris' kids with Kelsie and Cameron. They are beautiful kids (nearly adults, ok, Joseph and Christopher probably are adults...Gab, I'm keeping you in the kid club, can't let you grow up too fast!)
The BIG ENTRANCE -- Trisha did a great job getting them there --
Suffern's Aunt Robbie!!!!

Part of the Doyle side of the family...

Part of the Hand-side of the family (Aunt Dot, are you out there????) LOL!

The couple listening to Kenny, Richie, Trisha, Philip or Gena telling their parents what they mean to them...Christine gave her time up to the others b/c she knew that she would go on and on and she didn't want to monopolize the night :) Then, came the "newlywed game" questions.

Trisha and Kenny's kids along with Joseph (sorry, Christopher & Gab, I cut you off). ALISON, WHERE DID you get your eye crossing talents from????

Trish and Kenny...
Oh my kids get along so well!

Chris, Kenny, Richie, Mom, Dad, Gena, Philip, Trisha!

So Much to Blog About!

Hi -- the kids and I are at LaGuardia, waiting for our plane to get back to ATL. I didn't mention our trip on the blog because we came out as a surprise for the Hand's 50th wedding anniversary surprise celebration! We had a great time, hopefully mom & dad Hand had a really great time! I think we for sure surprised one of them! We enjoyed seeing everyone and I have a ton of pictures to post after I get back home. Cameron is sitting next to me telling me how we have to come back for a longer time -- "why couldn't we stay longer"? "I could have stayed with dad til Thursday", etc, etc, etc. The plane is delayed 30 mins at this point...hopefully it will be here soon!!! More to come.

Pivotal Circumstances

I promise you that if you choose to set aside about 30 mins to listen to this, you will not regret it.

Under Construction

I am home from STL and I had a really good trip. Seems like everything ran very smoothly while I was gone. I am trying to catch up on the VP debate, it's getting late, though.

The Blog is under construction -- I need a change with the "style"...stay tuned.
