Does anyone else love Walgreens besides me? In my own defense, I have been doing better since I moved about doing my grocery shopping at Walgreens. HOWEVER, I still love to frequent the store occasionally. Especially when my mom e-mails me the weekly specials. We are fortunate enough to have a store nearby our house...HOWEVER...it's about the only one in the state of Georgia I think.
When Kelsie has horse lessons, normally I drop her off and Kenny picks her up. The times that I have dropped off and picked up, I don't really like to go home in between. Tonight was one of those nights. So, being the persistent Walgreens shopper that I am, I had Cameron in tow and we went in the FINAL direction from the horse farm that we hadn't tried...in search of...yes, Walgreens. On prior nights, I have failed in my search. Cameron cannot understand why CVS can't be the replacement. No! I have found that CVS doesn't come close to having the stock Walgreens has; the variety of stuff is severly lacking; and they are more expensive(Walgreens really does have some good deals sometimes). Ok, let me cut to the chase, I was once again, unsuccessful. I even got myself turned around in my search and had to call the horse lady to help me figure out where I was (although just as I was trying to explain which Campground road I was on, I ran into her Hyde road, thank the Lord).
So, if you feel like I do...Walgreens rules, and you have the financial wear-with-all to buy a franchise, I'll consider running it for you in the greater Atlanta metro area.

Stuff
Check out Kenny's blog for a summary of Cam's bday. Although, I do have something separate to post, so stand by.
It's Superbowl Week -- don't forget to vote in the poll on the right! Of course I am going to be pulling for Kurt Warner and the Cardinals.
High School? I cannot believe that next year, no, wait, it's really this calendar year, I will have a high schooler. Shocking isn't it? Anyway, I have to go to a 9th grade parent meeting tonight -- scary! I will get a taste of what we are in for.
Idol on tonight! I can't wait til they get to Hollywood week. Bikini girl nearly put me over the edge, so, let's get on with it!
My dad actually convinced my mother to stay an extra week in Florida. I cannot believe it! I haven't actually spoken to them about it, so not sure how it all transpired. I think they are just dreading the snow and cold back at home. Who knows...this could go on indefinitely. I e-mailed them that it's great w/me that they stay another week (not that they asked me), as long as it doesn't infringe on the time they promised to stay here on their way back home!
To all of you freezing and slip/sliding away, I'm thinking about you and trying to send you some warmer weather, it's not working though. Hang in there or come see us in GA. Weather report today: Cloudy, highs in the 50's.

Lee & Dee
Certainly one of the highlights of the trip to STL happened today. Kelsie and I had the opportunity to visit with our neighbors from Odessa Drive in Bellefontaine, Lee and Dee. They were awesome neighbors. I asked them today to tell the story of the night Cam hurt his finger. They said something that I didn't remember; I, of course was pretty upset, but they said that Cameron was a little trooper; I was crying but he was just looking around wondering what all of the fuss was!
They looked great and hopefully Kenny and Cam can visit with us next time!

Kelsie's 1st Solo Flight
What a flight it was! She called while she was supposed to be in flight and reported that after 30 minutes the pilot announced that they had a problem and were returning to the ATlanta airport. She handled it all very well-we are very proud of her-she handled it better than I probably would have. They switched out the aircraft and off she went again! This time she made it safely to St. Louis! Thank the Lord!

I was prepared to confess but...I luv staples!!!
I was desperate! I was prepared to confess publically but then...
I was leaving for STL this afternoon and I needed a case for my new iPod (that's a story for another post). Anyway circuit city went out of business and there was no time to order a case from the Internet so I was thinking that I would have to darken the doors of my arch enemy...worst buy. But then kenny suggested STAPLES! Yes!!! Went there and mission accomplished!!!
Made it safely to STL and to the Base. And love this iPod so far but typing on it now so forgive any misssspellllingggs!
Burrrrr here and it's supposed to get colder tomorrow. They are even talking school closings because of the cold.

The Tree is Down!
Jan 12th, 2009: The Christmas tree has been taken down. It had to happen. I really enjoyed the skinnier tree this year but honestly it felt like I didn't have much time to enjoy it. The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas, really, New Year's just flew by. So, I took a few extra days to look at it.
FYI: Hannity's new show started tonight.

Take THAT! Terry, Howie, Michael & Jimmy
Ok, it's only 1/2 time, but the Arizona Cardinals and Kurt Warner have come out on FIRE! The whole Fox pre-game crew (Terry, Howie, Jimmy, etc) picked Carolina to run away with it, but they underestimate Kurt Warner and #11.
We have had a busy week. My parents were here (partly sunny & 52 today) on their way to Florida (sunny & 75 today), escaping Coal Valley IL (snowing and 20 today). Cameron played basketball today and his team won 37-20. He played very scrappy defense! I will be heading to St. Louis (30 and flurries today) on Wednesday for work. I am not sure I can take the cold.
FYI: IDOL STARTS TUESDAY!

Shayna & Kelsie, Here you go!
Here are some additional pictures from Christmas...
I can't rotate this one because the pictures are on a disk and well, for now, I am too lazy to save them to the computer and rotate them, and then put them on here...But, had to put this picture on because it's my dad reading the account of Jesus' birth.

This was hilarious -- Natalie and Maddie on their "motorized" car -- Maddie, did you take driving lessons from your mom? LOL!
We had fun putting together this puzzle -- 550 pieces can be conquered in 1 day, who knew?
One year when I was a kid, Santa tied all of our presents to string and we had to follow the string to the present. Yikes, it was crazy! I have often wondered if Santa would do that for my kids, but so far, Santa must run out of steam before he gets to our house. But this year, Kelsie did have one of her presents tied to string! It was fun watching her follow the string to her pea coat!
Santa brought Cam a certificate for a new baseball bat come spring training.
Yes, we do play bingo...for prizes on Christmas day...we have a lot of fun...but, Shayna tried to steal the whole pot before we even got going...
Kelsie opening her Ipod...
My dad was thrilled with his gift which was re-gifted by my niece Nicole from last year -- I think they are some kind of thing you attach to your shoes to walk on ice?@?#?!@ And Cody was thrilled with his bath products which included a scented pillow! I think my brother ended up stealing that though...he said they were for his wife, but??@?#?@!?
